| - Okay, I moved to Ohio from Texas. Apparently healthcare has some major issues here. I took my 2 year old son to UH rainbow urgent care first, he was sick, once he was no longer eating or able to walk I took him to a pediatric urgent care on orange st UH Rainbow for children. Not only was I the only person there with a child, that is for suppose to be for PEDIATRICS, but the doctor was RUDE. He told me he had the flu, um, no. Why would I take him to urgent care with the flu? He had no symptoms of the flu, no fever, no runny nose, he had stomach pain and diarrhea for a week. In the end, I ended up telling the doctor what tests to perform, as he was obviously not a pediatric doctor and the only I knew what tests needed done was because of my fabulous pediatrician from Austin Tx. At the end of the appointment, he said I needed to go to the ER, they could not run any tests. Seriously?
So we go to the UH Rainbow babies ER. OMG. It is Ohio? It was a 3-4 hour wait. Most kids there looked just fine. Most had "the flu" I was told. So why in the world are they at the ER???? Go to a doctor! Who goes to the ER for the flu these days? This makes me miss Texas, because there you would be sent to URGENT CARE or a primary doctor regarding the flu, not the ER where children are needing clinical help immediately.
After an hour of complete frustration and boredom, I started walking around the waiting room, holding my son. I saw a lady screaming profanity on her cell phone at the front desk, she was getting violent. I saw a cop, looked at me and my son, and nodded his head for us to head to the back of the waiting room.
Suddenly, I heard screaming, profanity, and 3 cops came running like they were in the Boston marathon. They grabbed two women by the arms and legs (thank goodness) and had to drag them out of the clinic. They were attacking anyone around them. Why? WHO KNOWS. BUT IT WAS SCARY AND CRAZY. I left immediately.
The only reason I can give this one star is because of the cops!!!! Had the cop not given the gesture to leave that particular area, I may have been involved with these women, who obviously were out of their minds, beating me and my son. I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE OR THE URGENT CARE EVER AGAIN. Not only because people attend the ER for the FLU wasting everyone's time, but because going to this ER puts you and your child's life in danger.
Again, props to the cops. I know self defense and am proficient in boxing, but I had my son. I could have easily defended myself against these insane women, but I had to protect my son.
So Ohio, get a clue. Do not allow people to go to the ER for the flu. Do not allow dangerous people in ER's. Do not get angry with cops who have to grab a woman by the hands and legs to stop her from beating other adults and children. Ugh.
