A fine set of links spread out on rolling terrain chock full of sand traps and other "challenges" for the golfer. Carts are a big help as it is a long course.
In contrast to The Villages and other private communities, Carolina Lakes Golf Club is open to the public. Residents of this adult community pay green fees same as quests.
Most residents have their own golf carts, so they just pull up, pack up and play.
There is a pro shop and snack bar that offers meals and a full bar. We ate there a couple of times and it is very laid back and casual while being satisfactory as to quality and portions. Nothing fancy, just good.
