  • I agree with what Andrew posted in his review below: stay away from Josh Burros. I purchased a Soul from Russ Darrow about a week ago. One of the salesmen made a mistake when explaining the warranty to my dad and I. He had guaranteed us an additional year. After the employee in the finance office explained to us why it wasn't possible, it appeared to be an honest mistake, but my dad went to Josh Burros (one of the sales managers) to find out if he could do anything else for us with the price of the vehicle since we were being denied what we were promised. He could have simply apologized and politely explained that there was nothing further they could do, but instead, because he felt we were already getting a good deal on the car, he became very rude and agitated. He told us "I can throw in a keychain. What about one of those fuzzy little gerbils from the commercials? Want one of those? I can throw in one of those for ya, but that's about all I can do." Then he walked away, came BACK in, and proceeded to tell us, "Look, you're already getting a lot off of the car, it's one of those deals where you can either take it or leave it, it's up to you," followed by a couple of other sarcastic remarks before walking out again. The entire office, including the lady in finance and the salesman, was silent. Even the employees seemed uncomfortable. They apologized for the way we'd been treated. I just couldn't believe that a manager would ever speak that way, and in the tone he used, to a paying customer (before we'd even paid or signed anything!), aside from rude it was just plain stupid for someone wanting to make a sale. Any other day I would've gotten up and walked straight out. My dad, too, was infuriated. Since I am from out of state and only had a couple of days to buy a car, and the deal was pretty good, I stuck with it. I spoke with the new GM, who, as Andrew also said, was wonderful. He was respectful, friendly, apologetic, and seemed sincere when he said he would handle the situation with Josh B. In the end, I am very happy with my new car. If I'm back in state to visit my parents and ever need any servicing on my car, I would consider trying out Russ Darrow again to see if my experience is any better. We did have to wait a little longer than I liked to get into the finance office, but they were busy due to the time of year. Everyone else there was very nice, including the other sales manager, also named Josh. Still, we shouldn't have had to deal with that while buying a new car, which is normally a pretty exciting experience. So, again, if you are planning on going to Russ Darrow, do not put yourself through the hassle of dealing with Josh Burros.
