We were visiting the Westside Market on our first trip to Cleveland, and our son insisted we follow these enigmatic signs advertising "The Glass Bubble Project," and it turned out to be one of the most fun parts of our trip! The staff were so patient and kind, and let my very curious son get right up close and watch what they were doing. They were in the middle of a huge project that did not involve glass blowing, but they paused their work to blow glass bubbles for our boys, and they were so thrilled. Plus the amazing chicken walking around. As we were leaving, they called us back and loaded us down with stickers and coloring books. I feel very badly we didn't buy anything because we were limited on luggage on the plane, but if we ever go back to Cleveland, we will definitely get one of their beautiful pieces.
This place just encapsulates everything that is cool about Cleveland and the Midwest--friendly, creative people doing their craft and sharing their joy, all in a really cool space. Check it out. We may move there just so my kids can take a class there.
