I was really hoping for good things with this little hole in the wall Thai restaurant, but I have to say that it fell short. It fell real short.
I ordered the Crab Rangoon (my go to white guy Thai dish) and the Lad Nah (Lard Nah) with pork and Chinese Broccoli. The Crab Rangoon wasn't bad, but with imitation crab it also wasn't inspiring. The wonton wrapping was well prepared, but the filling just didn't have much going on. The sweet and sour sauce was light and nicely jammy.
The Lad Nah was disappointing. The noodles were cooked unevenly, with most of them being undercooked. I couldn't eat most of them. The pork wasn't bad, a little on the chewy side, but not bad. The thinly sliced Chinese broccoli was nice enough. The gravy had a light sweetness to it, something that I'm not used to in Lad Nah and something that didn't really help the dish. It just wasn't very good.
The service was really friendly, but unfortunately the food really fell short at this place. I'll seek Thai food elsewhere when I find myself in this neighborhood.
