  • Been patient with this place as it's directly next to my wife's work and convenient to shop here. However today was the last straw. I'll write up my last 3 experiences: 1. Went to check out with nearly full cart. The cashier (female, mid 40's, Caucasian) demonizes me immediately with a nasty look and calls for support over her radio saying, "I need help, well I'm fine but I feel bad for the lady behind this person in line." Excuse you? This was the last straw, I'm going up the street to Smith's on Flamingo and Buffalo from now on. Screw that. Who do these people think they are?! 2. My wife went to do some shopping mid-week and starts loading up the conveyor belt. The clerk (male,teen-early 20's, Caucasian) ignores her greeting and stares at her silently like every item she wants to purchase is a crime she's committing. He remains silent throughout the entire process until she goes to press credit and accidentally pressed debit during the payment process, when he has the nerve to laugh at her. She came home almost in tears. I offered to go back there and have a "talk" with this jerk, or at least call and ask for a manager but with her heart, she wouldn't allow it. She's very accepting and patient with people, much more so than I. 3. I was waiting at the deli counter to be served behind a line of 3 other customers, for upwards of 20 minutes, there was one clerk at the time (male, 30's, Caucasian). They do NOT have a ticketing system or competent employees for that matter so if you come here you're better off circling the store until there's no one in line. I didn't know any better at the time so I waited, then a clerk (male, around 20, Asian) almost hits me with his dolly as he's going into the employee only doors next to the deli, so I take a step back to let him through. He obviously sees me. He walks around to the counter and points at the man behind me and says "How can I help you?" I had a lapse of judgement and left my cart full of groceries right there and walked out. I grew up shopping at Albertson's, when the 5-10% premium you paid was worth the quality and service you received. Now it's more like a 20-30% premium and their quality and service is garbage. I'm especially talking about their deli, meat, and seafood items. Absolutely horrible! I dare you to go ask for a pound of salmon and smell it. Do yourself a favor (and the clerks since they seem to hate when someone shops at their store) and go up the street to Smith's. The prices are much better, they actually have 3-5 check stand open at all times instead of the 1 they do here (dead serious). Or if you don't mind the service, and are just looking to have money left for rent, go to the closest Walmart. Whatever you do, do not shop here.
