| - We just got home from seeing Les Miserables...awesome! The show was done really well, the performers were wonderful. The stage is smaller than a Gammage-type theatre, but it was used well, and the scenery/props/sound were spot on.
The dinner was also really good, better than expected, actually. The meal comes with the ticket. They start serving 2 hours prior to the performance. We were seated immediately, and greeted by our asst. waiter. He took our drink orders. There was already hot bread and butter at the table. The menu consists of items that are included (soup or salad) and entrees. They also have some items for an additional fee. Hubby decided to get an additional appetizer of coconut shrimp, which he loved. He also took the included salad, and I had the french onion soup...we enjoyed them both. For our entrees, we ordered from the included menu...Hubby got the pork osso bucco and I got the tournedos of boeuf. They both came with rustic potatoes and green beans. Everything was cooked well, and came out hot. Dessert was served during intermission, and they are all additional. Hubby and I both went with the flourless hazelnut chocolate cake...OMG, so decadent and delicious! I have to say, that both our waiters were really good. They were friendly and always around.
As a side note, the bathrooms (at least the ladies room) were really nice. Very clean and lots of stalls.
A little shocked that when the show ended, as we walked out, the cast was in the lobby greeting everyone. Love that touch! It's a smaller crowd, and what a beautiful way to thank everyone for coming.
Over all, we had an incredible time. As we speak, Hubby is looking through next season's shows, and we're planning on getting season tickets. What a great way to have a night out...dinner and a show, what's better than that??
