Borders has tons of books on any subject you can think of, magazines, calendars, journals and other little gift-type items. It's a really great place to go, but it can get pretty pricey if you're an avid book reader.
They also have a little in-store cafe, where you can read a book and sip a latte at the same time. This is nice if you have a little time off and want to relax. Good for killing time on your lunch hour too.
Anytime I'm looking for a specific book or a book that just came out, I go to Borders. But if I just want to get some new books to read, I'll go somewhere a lot less expensive, like Bookman's or a thrift store. You can find great books there for less than half of what you'd pay at Borders.
