| - I only went in here once, earlier today, to buy a receiver hitch lock for a funky old vintage trailer I just acquired. Because it's an old design, most of the modern hitch locks wouldn't fit...but the guys here helped me figure out what would work. They were super helpful and friendly.
The only downside was, they ended up selling me a used Reese Towpower coupler lock for $40. It was used, and missing one of the keys, so I had to spend another $3 to order a second key from the manufacturer. But the guy made it seem like he was giving me a deal.
When I got home, I looked online and saw that I could have gotten the same exact lock, brand new, with TWO keys, at Autozone for $30...or Wal Mart for $20. I felt like a total dumbass, as my receipt clearly states "ALL SALES FINAL." D'oh!!
I know it's tough for the little guy to compete with big-box stores, and I'm a firm believer in supporting small businesses...and they WERE really nice and helpful. But the price differential here was just too steep; I probably wouldn't trust this place for future supplies.
