| - Absolutely delicious! Best dip cone ever. I love dip cones, and good ones are really hard to find. In TO, you can only really get them from ice cream trucks (sketchy and low quality), Dairy Queen (choco dip that tastes like cardboard on a stale cone), or places like Tom's Dairy Freeze (30 min drive to wait in an hour lineup).
Let me be clear - La Diperie blows them all away. The chocolate dip... Oh. My. God. Best ever chocolate dip. It's like your soft serve is dipped in pure, creamy candy. The array of chocolate flavours and toppings... Wow, it's just a magical happy land of perfect soft serve yum. I also love that they have "mini" cones so that you can try more than one flavour combination on a visit. I got the Cocofolie, with dark chocolate and coconut, which was incredible. Also had a mini with mint chocolate and sprinkles, the mint was so refreshing, and sprinkles make everything better. My love had Baileys dip w oreo crumbles, he devoured it so quickly I didn't even get a taste. Another reviewer had mentioned stale cones, but amongst the 3 cones we ordered in different sizes, this was definitely not the case - cones were fresh, soft serve was high quality, and dips were out of the world yumtastic.
Customer service was also great, several people helped prepare our order, and despite the lineups, they were all super helpful and friendly. The owner even mentioned to me that if you are very pregnant, skip the line and come right to the counter - he's not trying to make anyone w physical challenges wait in line. So nice!
Cash only for now, well worth the trek to the Danforth.
