| - Visited Marquee Day Club during the recent fight weekend and things did not go well. First, let me say that I love Marquee and have never had a problem here but on this particular day, I think the bartender was really going through some things. She got upset because we told her we did not like the taste of our drinks compared to the drinks that another bartender made for us earlier at the same bar. She started to cry (NOT KIDDING) and when a fellow bartender saw her crying, she looked over at us and said, "Don't worry, we'll just get them kicked out." At this time, A MALE bartender stepped in to remake the drinks. While we were waiting for the new batch, security started to surround us. I literally thought I was being pranked because it was so unbelievable to me that this was happening because we asked a bartender to remake our drinks, which is essentially her job!!!!!
Long story short, security didn't ask us any questions or gather any information from us regarding what transpired. They just kicked us out. They refused to return my drivers license (they asked for it when they approached us) an one of the female security guards tried to forcefully remove my wristband when not one person asked me to remove it. Her supervisor had to tell her not to touch me. I eventually had to get the Cosmo front desk employees involved just to mediate the situation and retrieve my drivers license. Cosmo told me that the day club operates independently of the hotel and they would not be able to help. I refused to accept that answer and eventually head of security for the hotel got involved and was able to retrieve my DL from security at Marquee Day Club with no problem.
I know that Vegas just assumes that everyone is drunk and must be guilty of whatever is being alleged by their staff, but I think the way Marquee handled this situation was extremely unprofessional, and more consideration should have been given to us since we were paying customers.
