  • I was a member at Mettler when I was in college. Recently, I moved back into the area and was hoping to join again because I live so close. However, they have a $75 joining fee!! I'm sorry but that is just ridiculous. I just moved from Chicago where my gym's (a much nicer gym, I might add) joining fee was merely $25 (and they further reduced upon request). When I asked to have it discounted or waived because I had been a previous member, they were incredibly rude to me (did not even return my phone call claiming they lost my phone number). When I called back, they were just as rude. Don't waste your time with Mettler.
