| - I definitely prefer the look of the library way back when it used to be upstairs through the food court. They had windows! The library right now is spacious, but they don't make efficient use of the space because the walking paths around are so narrow, yet there's this area of space people can't use right at the entrance. The plywood look doesn't follow any kind of theme either so I'm not sure what the interior designer was thinking when they envisioned this place. The lack of windows to the outside gives it a boxed-in, enclosed atmosphere. Your view is either a wall or the mall.
The Wifi is pretty good, haven't had any issues with connectivity, nor does it go down. This is my own experience though and I'm not there every day so others may have different views. They even have an immigration counselor for new immigrants to Canada so that is certainly helpful for many.
No washrooms in this library, the closest ones are in the mall beside Subway (it's a 2-3 minute walk away) so if you are studying at the library by yourself, try to find a staff member keep an eye on your stuff because you have to leave everything there.
Another significant issue is that this place gets packed and is really busy. Probably the best window to go is from when they open to about 2:30pm. Students will populate the library after that. It doesn't help that they shut off the study area for various programs during evenings and Saturdays. Some events attract a lot of members, while others not so much, but the librarians (some are pretty rude) will kick you out regardless. Around 8 computers are available to be used but again, are booked most of the time after school.
All in all, not a great library to do work in, but they do have the resources. If they could just redesign it and maximize the space available then that'd be great.
