| - This review really should be a 2.5, but I'm being generous and rounding it up because it ended up turning out okay, after all.
If I were to rate the quality of the product itself, it would be a 6 out of 5, because we got one HELL of a bargain for the money we paid. Basically, we paid 200 dollars (including taxes and fees) and got to drive a '13 Ford Mustang convertible around for an entire week. Talk about luxurious. I felt like I had some serious cash, driving that up and down the Strip. Unlimited mileage, too. We drove that sucker down to Yuma, then Tucson, then BACK to Vegas, and it was STILL only 200 dollars. Bargain? You bet it was, and for the product, I couldn't have done better.
Where Firefly utterly fails is its customer service. We were in line at McCarran for 90 minutes, with one guy swamped at the desk, and by the time we got up there, they said they were out of cars. Now, I'd read the Yelp reviews and knew this is what they like to pull, so I just gave them a steely-eyed stare and said, no problem - I'll wait until you have one. The guy claimed I'd have to wait 30 minutes. Yep, okay, no problem, you just get right on that.
Funny how, a mere 5 minutes later, I had car keys in hand.
So, take my review for what it's worth. You'll get a car, and you'll get much nicer than you expect. But you have to navigate the front desk, which is a huge barrier. If you have patience (and admittedly, I don't, my husband kept me from walking away), you'll find this worth it. If not, though, you're better off with someone else.
