Miserable and abusive staff that has no idea what customer service means. They put my life in danger during a snowstorm in a tiny car with no snow tires in order to try to upsell me to the SUV.
I arrived to pick up my car late at night during a snowstorm. Had reserved a midsized car, and was told all they had was a tiny geo Prism (economy) with no snow tires or one of many SUVs. A Geo Prism is dangerous in the snow and is NOT a midsized car. I was offered an SUV for three times the price I had reserved. I declined the SUV and reiterated that I simply wanted the midsized car that I had reserved. Was told they had no other cars. I glanced behind the counter and saw keys for a Volkswagen Golf. How about that one, I asked? It has snow tires, so we would need to charge you extra, I was told. That's not my problem, I replied. I reserved a better class of car than a tiny Geo. After 20 minutes back and forth, they gave me a NIssan Versa, tiny car with no snow tires. It was NOT a midsized car, but I was exhausted and tired of arguing. Decided I would dispute it with my credit card company later. I had to drive this piece of x#@! over several mountain passes during blizzards and nearly went over a cliff. It was terrifying. This office has a regular practice of trying to manipulate customers into upgrading to an SUV by not honoring the reserved car and by claiming to have run out of cars. It's a dishonest practice. I would never rent from them.
