  • Holstein Kitchen was my Dad's favorite place to eat in Oregon. So when my father died this April, I called them to see if they would be interested in hosting his wake. As a person planning a funeral, most people - at minimum - when they talk to you will say "I am so sorry for your loss." Not only did the owner not seem to care at all about my loss - or my father's love of the Holstein Kitchen - he was extremely rude to me and treated me as if I had put some awful chore on his plate by even requesting the IDEA of hosting a wake at the Kitchen. He was rude, unprofessional, and unfeeling.
