| - I really wanted to give Capo's a better rating, but I just couldn't.
The lobby and greeting were very unique and fun.
The ambiance in the restaurant was fun and interesting. Yes it was dark , but that was ok. Bathrooms are one person only and small , but again that's ok.
The meal.
First , we were on time for our reservation and our table was open , but we had to sit at the bar for 10 minutes, just enough time to order a drink which the tab had to be closed out before going to the table. My GF order one of their specialty cocktails, it was good. I asked for a glass of the house Chianti, the barmaid said they did not have one. Ok, I will wait and order something at the table.
Once seated we were give the menu's with the flashlights, well one of the two had flashlights, and a wine list. Sure enough on the first page was a list of wine's by the glass and there was a Chianti.......sigh.... It was tasty and I had two of them.
The menu was creative with all of the mob names. The bread was great , hot and fresh, but then you had to struggle with the butter in the little foil packets.
Both of our salads had potential, but ended up being a little watery. She likes Ranch, not on the Capo's list.
The calamari was very tasty, fried with some hot peppers and dipping sauce like Outbacks Bloomin Onion sauce.
For dinner we went with the basics
Her Lasagna was ok , very cheesy , and a bit over cooked.
My spaghetti was cooked fine, it was just smother in red sauce and the kitchen sprinkled Parmesan cheese on it for me... I did not ask for it and I do not normally put it on my pasta.
On the upside the Italian sausage I added to the dish was pretty good.
We did not have dessert.
Service throughout the dinner was good
They called a cab for us and let me know when it arrived.
The bill for two drinks each and dinner was $86.00 plus tip
So the rating was more for the food then the rest of the dining experience.
I do not see myself going back, to many other places to try
