  • With my own modified system, I would give this place a 3.4 stars. I tried it twice to get a good feel for it and find it to have good food, not great and innovative but good prepared food. First do not pay attention to Bri D. or Glenn D. review, it was based on the service, they never even ate here. I don't blame a place for being busy or sometimes under staff. I am in business too and you can kill yourself being over staff. They also gave filbertos a 3 star which if you like eating grease and overcooked meat with lots of bad cheese then listen to them. Back to the review, sorry for the tangent there. I would have to say that the food is certainly well prepared. I had the biscuit and gravy with sausage and potatoes. They were made from scratch and the biscuit was soft and flaky, the gravy nice and smooth with lots of sausage, although very fine and not chunky. Potatoes were okay, could be a little softer on inside and a little more seasoning, added a little salt and pepper and they were fine. I went when it wasn't busy so service was fine. All in all, it was not the best I have tasted but not the worst either. The second time, I had the french toast with a side of corn beef hash. The french toast was well prepared, they used a thicker french bread I believe but it worked well, leaving the middle soft and the crust firmer. Taste wise, was as expected, did not taste the vanilla they said in the menu. The corn beef hash was excellent, used real corn beef not the crushed up left over. Very few places have I seen this. The potatoes were crisp on outside and soft inside. Again could be more seasoning, as I had to add salt and pepper. As for Bri D. statement about the onions Most of their scrambled items do contain onions which I felt this kind of food needs. If you want your food bland and no texture, then ask them to take it out. All in all it was not the best breakfast place I have visited but if you want to have a good breakfast then I would still recommend going here. Portions are good and food is good.
