This place is amazing! Very nice vibe of Hawaii. Almost feels like a local restaurant back in the island. Staff was great and welcoming and the furikake chicken is a must try! One thing I want to definitely point out is the Kalbi Short ribs. If you're use to going to L&L, Aloha Kitchen, or #1 Hawaiian Barbecue, you're use to getting it for about 8 bucks. You'll notice here at Island Flavor that it's double, but man oh man when you get that Kalbi on your table and you open it up, you'll notice the difference. Very thick and just tender enough where you can easily bite and break it down as you chew. Juicy and the marinade they use just tastes so good. This is one of those occasions where paying more for Kalbi here compared to other spots that charge cheaper, is worth every dollar!
