Stopped in for first Friday- finally! The atmosphere was great and the staff was very friendly. We sat outside and the patio was really nice. I ordered the Oliver with a brat and fries with green chilies. The fries were COLD. So cold in face that the cheese wasn't melted at all. The green chilies were from a can and the fries appeared to be from a freezer bag. Unimpressed.
The presentation of the dog was great but that was it. The "brat" was skinny. The cheese wasn't melted again because as we all know food must be hot to melt the cheese. The menu lead me to believe that there would be a small amount of 1000 Island on the dog and it was drenched. So drenched that it was everywhere.
The server was very attentive and helpful at first but as the end of the meal approached she disappeared. First Friday is busy and I get that so I stood up to help her with a visual cue. I stood for over 20 minutes and I ended up having to find her myself. Luckily, she was kind and offered to buy my drink for me.
The atmosphere and cleanliness and kind staff are great but the food is cold and mediocre at best. You can prepare a better dog at home. Owner please reach out because I expected better from an award winning place and would give it another shot if you respond and give me some answers!
