| - Alfredo's Patisserie is a hidden gem in Spring Valley! Although the selection is not too crazy, they've always been well stocked the few times I have visited.
I originally came here to buy some cupcakes for my niece, but I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap the other pastries and desserts were. They serve macarons, cake pops, cookies, croissants, tarts, etc. from behind the counter, but I believe you can order specialized cakes for special events.
According to the website (and from the store itself), Alfredo's was opened by Chef Alfredo himself, who has honed his dessert specialties through training and competitions. I believe the store is family run.
The cupcake and tres leche treat that I purchased for about $1 each or so were delicious (according to my niece and cousin who ate them). I ended up buying a blueberry macaron because it was so cheap; the young gentleman at the front gave me a nice discount on the macaron, making it taste even better at the discounted price! Perfectly made - crispy outer shell and chewy inner filling with bits of blueberry inside.
But my favorite item from Alfredo's has got to be their almond croissants. Probably THE best almond croissant I have ever had - for a cheap price (less than $3) and still flaky upon consuming! Love the almonds on the outer shell and the flakiness of the outer layer, but the inside of the croissant is filled with almond paste. A bit sweet, but eaten with the buttery croissant - it just melts in your mouth and makes for a very delicious treat.
tl;dr - One of my favorite places to visit for a quick treat for myself. Highly recommend trying the almond croissant, although they have a ton of other items that I really want to try out for myself. Storefront is quite small, so I usually grab things to-go. Parking is no issue as the bakery is located in a fairly big plaza.
