Intimate and small place with great aesthetics and lighting. Seating was great for a Wednesday night and probably needs a reservation for weekends. We ordered the zucchini for a starter which was served with a lemon garlic aioli. This was so well seasoned and lightly breaded my friend and I were excited about our entrees. Since this was just a quick dinner to make conversation we ate simple, affordable and light with the French bread pizza featuring Carolina chicken and her order of the portobello melt.
There was a lot of detail to the dishes but with great atmosphere, food and music it wasn't time for the regular pictures of food and examination of the menu. Not our night to examine wine, cocktails and beer but the staff was informative and attentive. It reminds me of many small high end Southern cuisine places I remember in my original kitchens/home in the South with as much attention to soft and intimate aesthetics as the seasonal and ingredient focused dishes.
I hope you make this a great family and date place. We can't wait to try more at Tuck Shop. Kaitlin was a fantastic server to guide through the menu. Glad to see less flash and more comfort plus playing on individual ingredients to make something great. Thank you, Tuck Shop.
