  • The worst management ever, especially the boss lady. They dint ask specifically for SSN - verbally, while the guy explained every other requirement to get approved in so much detail, bank statements, pay stub etc -while running application approval, and billed me 450 bucks on security deposit for it because I didn't give them. Even on the form no where was it mentioned they need SSN for running a total credit check. And they pinned the blame on me saying I dint fill up the number on the form. I mean I have had identity theft issues and unless extremely required for, I don't go around scribbling SSN numbers on every form I full up! The weird crap was, they pinned it all on me and said I had to read the form and that I either had to pay the 450 buck deposit OR I need to pay 21 bucks again for running application again. And they cannot run my credit check again separately and my roommates would have to be run again- that would affect his credit!! So I backed off, I couldn't trust them anymore on signing a big document like a lease!!. The whole deal was like as if they treated me as an object (of money or whatever that they dint care) rather than people and be understanding, flexible , and friendly. I was told multi million times " sir according to the law we have to treat everyone the same", for apparently anything I asked. If I wanted this much legal scare, I would rather hire a lawyer n deal with it. But I can't do that every issue can I? And if I go by the same law thing, I would also have the right to question the selection process in detail, including how exactly they use my SSN , which 3rd parry runs the check so on n so forth. Anyways got out of the crap and apologised to my roommate, and dint sign the lease. Another reminder that in the whole free land of USA, it is upto oneself to protect his/herself and even a simple thing like a lease signing could be legally backfiring on you because you trusted the people you are getting into business with!
