I noticed this cupcake store as I walked up Yonge street. I have a compulsion to sample any cupcake store I come across especially the new ones. I walked into the store and the lady was on the phone, in the middle of an order. Their offerings must be good, I thought. There were beautiful displays of fancy looking cookies everywhere. The woman on the phone looked at me but didn't acknowledge me, not even a smile or a nod. I waited for a while and decided to head out to the next store to checkout the wallets on sale. When I was done, I came back to the store. She was now off the phone and I was the only customer in the store. I smiled and tried to strike up a conversation. I asked if the store was new etc. She didn't seem excited by my mild curiosity and gave one word answers. So the store was indeed new but I thought that even on a bad day, it couldn't hurt to smile or even acknowledge a potential customer, you know? Anyways, I hurriedly left with a red velvet and a cookie crumble cupcake as well as one of those beautiful looking cookies. Wouldn't you know it, every single one of them were as stale as the woman's attitude! I don't remember what time it was when I went in but the cupcakes were bland and tasted like they were over a day old. The fancy cookie also tasted like it was over a day old and was all sugar and no moisture. Never again.
