| - I am never in this area, but as luck would have it, I had brunch nearby on a recent Sunday. So I decided it was a perfect time to check out a couple of my bookmarked places in the area.
The first stop was Tenaya Creek Brewery. Now, I've had a few of their beers before. Unfortunately, nothing really impresses me, but I was hoping to try something that would only be available at the brewery.
The location was easy to find - basically right off of the freeway at Cheyene, and a short ways down Tenaya. There is plenty of parking and it's a large, bright facility. There is a large bar with plenty of seating, as well as a big room with tables and high tops.
We sat at the bar, which wasn't crowded. We were immediately approached by a friendly beertender. The beers were all listed up on a board above the bar, and I decided to try the Monsoon IPA.
It is definitely disappointing that they don't serve food, but it's not the end of the world. The beer is the feature here, unfortunately it just falls a bit short, flavor wise.
We only had 1 beer and headed to our next stop. Nothing else really caught my eye and the Monsoon definitely didn't wow me.
Overall, it's a great local spot. I just wouldn't go out of my way for beer that is less than impressive.
