So far so good! I recently sold my Toyota Tacoma and moved to a bigger truck by purchasing a used 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 "High Country." Admittedly after my flawless purchase and service experience at a local Toyota dealership I was throwing caution to the wind by buying a used Silverado out of state and bringing it to Arizona but overall that turned out pretty well.
Back to my recent service experience at Chapman. My truck experienced an air conditioning failure on a 117 degree day so getting it taken care of quickly was a priority. I called in and they were able to see me first thing the next day. My service advisor (Dexter) was efficient about getting my car processed in and assured me that the truck was still under warranty and that they would be able to get me back into my truck pretty quickly. It turned out to be the high-pressure A/C line that fed the compressor and apparently it is a known problem and GM re-designed the bracket and Chapman had the parts available to them pretty much immediately. Dexter was quick to get me a rental car and after a wait at the nearby Enterprise rental across the street I was on my way.
I was very pleased to get a call the next morning early on my way to work saying the truck was finished. Dexter had fielded a call from me the previous afternoon to let me know that it would take an overnight stay but that he would call as soon as it was completed. Upon picking it up the truck was clean inside and out and the engine bay was wiped down after the work had been completed. In total, I am very satisfied with the service I received from Dexter and from Chapman Chevrolet. I didn't buy my truck there but if I were searching for a new one I would absolutely give them a shot at things.
The only reason for my removal of one star is really because I think that they need more vehicles in their loaner pool. This is not a reflection upon their dealership but really just a procedural issue from the manufacturer. It took about a half hour on both sides of the drop-off and pick-up side due to Enterprise so if I had one bit of advice it would be to mimic the processes of Volkswagen, Toyota and BMW. Have a fleet ready or at least manage a daily regimen of making sure that you have enough cars to lend out.. or streamline things with Enterprise.
