  • I love walking through Michaels & just checking out what new crafts they have. This is a decent store as far as products go but their customer service is way off. Staff is hard to find on the floor & the cashiers are not friendly. We attended one of their kids events which stated it was a free event on FB but it turned out to have a small fee once we got there so we paid since we were already there but as the event went on, we noticed people were just walking into the back room without having to present a receipt stating they actually paid and staff didn't care at all. From that day on, we avoid their events. Last time I went in, they had recalled items on the shelves and didn't even seem to be aware of them until I went to the register to pay, the cashier simply said she couldn't sell the item to me because it was being recalled & I let her know there was a shelve full of them. I asked why it was being recalled and she said that they aren't told why. If a company is going to recall something, they should be able to explain to the customer why. Especially when it's an item as simple as gift wrapping tissue paper. Thankfully there was a packet similar to the one I needed next to it. This Michaels could be a lot better by having staff that cares and that is helpful.
