This was my second time at University of Phoenix Stadium (to see my Chargers play).
The first time, we bought reasonably priced tickets on Stub Hub. It was preseason, so we had a great location behind the end zone.
This time, my friend bought a bunch of group tickets through one of the Cardinals ticketing agents. That agent assured her that our group would be together, but when she got the physical tickets, that wasn't the case. Not only were we not together, we weren't even sat in the same section. Our group was spread between 3 sections, and within those sections, various rows. It was a mess and not what we expected.
That aside, the facility is prety nice. It still seems shiny and new, although it's quite a few years old. I just prefer my stadiums to have more history. This is just a big, new space with artificial air.
We tailgated on the Great Lawn, which was pretty awesome. Overall, the Cardinals fans were friendly and accomodating.
Parking is an issue - it literally takes HOURS to get out of there after the game is over. My friends and I walked, but got separated. I made it to McFadden's in Westate and had a beer because it started raining. Then I made it to the Renaissance, where everyone and their brother was trying to get a taxi. Just bring your patience, or hang out and tailgate more until it clears out.
