  • Eek! Me -REALLY- thinks not! I just called Futon Favorite in Phoenix today to discuss ordering an organic futon. The guy who answered the phone was a real "piece of work". It says on the website to "call for a quote", so I did. Well, the person on the other end was very uncooperative and difficult. He was really sarcastic?! Among other things, he would not give me a quote and hassled me saying, "I really don't believe you really want to order a full, a queen or a king size". I explained it would be what my budget could afford and he continued the be-grading saying, "you are really going to determine a mattress by the price?!" ...."Uh?... YEAH!!! I am," I thought. He just wouldn't give me a price range?! and when I insisted, he said he was not comfortable giving out that information. I asked who I was speaking to and he said, "I am TOM the OWNER." Then he proceeded to explain how he is just "not right" in a pretty cocky & arrogant way and continued his badgering of me. Futon Favorite? The Owner is a really unpleasant, condescending and disrespectful person. Well, Tom you're not my Futon Favorite and, "no, I am not buying a mattress from you that is for sure!" I am so glad I called first instead of going down there. I would not recommend you waste your time with someone so disrespectful (he was pretty vulgar) and unappreciative of customers. With that poor "I don't care" attitude, you just don't know what you are in for (what a creep!). And, with him not wanting to give me a quote, well that just makes me think he was planning on ripping me off! Aggh! I hate writing bad reviews:( Oh, and another thing: he got really defensive when I asked if he had futons on-site (which is NO) and how long it would take to receive one. He said I should plan ahead for a futon emergency. What emergency? Really weird. I guess it was a tactic to see if I was desperate and a really good candidate to be ripped off at Futon Favorite in Phoenix.
