I'm not a fond of writing reviews but my horrendous experience with Ashley Furniture located on 91 MLK Blvd compelled me to. A few months back I had purchased my entire living room set from them and I was fairly satisfied, which was why I went back to purchase a dining table set two weeks ago. Due to my lack of patience to shop around, I walked in and picked out the one that I liked, needless to say it was a bit overpriced the great sales lady Anita processed my purchase and told me it will be available for pick-up on Wednesday 03/23. I called on Thursday 03/24 to check if my order is ready for pick-up and the answer was YES SIR! So this morning on 03/25 I asked to borrow my friend's truck and drove over there. After waiting over 25 minutes the dude at the warehouse asked me to walk over to the front to speak with the girls by the counter only to tell me "OH! SORRY SIR! WE'VE A BAD NEWS, YOUR ORDER HASN'T ARRIVED YET! "
Not having a dining table at home doesn't mean that we won't be eating but their inconsistency and lack of service utterly turned me off. Not to mention its Easter weekend and I've family coming over. Had they told me on the phone that it wasn't going to be available prior to going through the hassle of borrowing a truck and then waiting there for that long, it would NOT have bothered me as much! But all the inconvenience in addition to the sales manager (Terrance) who literally sat there and pretended as if he didn't hear my conversation the entire time until I said " Just cancel my order " walked up to me and asked if I wanted to look around for another set, irritated the crap out of me.
Aside from basic furniture if ASHLEY can't provide fair customer service and keep their word then I guess I will shop elsewhere.
