Even if you don't get all the levels of awesome that go into the name of this place, you will certainly still be impressed by the awesome awaiting you inside.
The drinks- awesome. Very good. Creative Martini's for the Mrs.'s (or Misters, I'm not here to judge- your pomegranate martini sounds delicious) and good beers and hard stuff for the harry-er of us (or the beer-loving lady. i just can't win, can I?)
The atmosphere is also great. If you are there during an off-hour or a quiet evening it is nice and romantic, and if you are there while it's buzzing it's got a great healthy classy vibe. The exposed brick walls remind you that this is the city, and the tables, settings and amenities speak to it's elegance.
The food here is also creative, but not in that "what the hell are you talking about" way that some higher end places talk like. "tonight we have an armondian sea bass which is flash lit through a denominizer..." No. I'm talking about Buffalo Chicken dip that is served in a martini glass. You may think "That's not a lot of dip". You're wrong. I have never finished one. I don't understand the physics... maybe there is some kind of worm-hole or tear in the space-time continuum but the stuff is awesome and never seems to end.
Also they have THE BEST TOMATO SOUP in the city. Don't write to me telling about Grandma Edna on Polish Hill or any of that... this is the best stuff you can buy and is always available. It's so thick and rich I first thought they'd actually brought me a bowl of Vodka Sauce. Really really good Vodka Sauce.
The prices are a little higher here than I'd often like to spend on a meal and that is what kept me from giving it a full 5 stars. It isn't the place I'd go often (my wallet just wouldn't allow it) but it is a great place.
Go there. Do it.
