  • I'd been meaning to try The Block for quite a while. I finally had a chance to drop in for dinner tonight (Friday). The place was buzzing, possibly because there was a Flames game happening the same evening although I think it was mostly because it was a Friday. It was a bit of a dine and dash. Had a glass of malbec, which was a little pricey but not out of line for this sort of place. For dinner, I had the duck, which was excellent. The service was friendly but unremarkable. I will definitely go back to sample other items on the menu and sooner or later I will have that duck again.
