| - No words to describe the HORRIBLE experience we had with this company.
If I could give this company a ZERO -- I would.
I didn't even hire this company. This company was hired through WestCoast Van Lines (that is a whole other disaster - read my review on their yelp.)
My pick-up was supposed to be on Tuesday June the 16th. I received a call from Validimer on Sunday telling me that they would be at my house at 8am on Wednesday the 17th. He was nice on the phone and told me that I just needed to sit and drink coffee. (I DID ANYTHING BUT THAT!!!) I was okay with the 17th since I had plenty of notice.
1) I received a call 8pm Tuesday evening that the movers won't be over until 10am. (2 hr delay - not a big deal).
2) Wednesday 10am. I don't hear from anyone. I call the company and they called the driver "Alex" and Alex said 12pm. Well, 12 turned to 2, 2 to 4 and finally they show up at 6:30pm. When Alex called me at 6pm to tell me he was coming. I asked him if he has enough time and he said, "yes I have 4 guys with me."
3) When the movers got there, they didn't have room in their truck, they DIDN'T HAVE one roll of wrapping or bubble paper to wrap our stuff (I had paid for full packing). They were unprepared, unprofessional and we asked why he was here instead of Westcoast van lines he stated, they work together. At this point it is 7:15pm. The back of the truck is full and I realized right away our stuff won't fit. Alex and the guys were just standing around. They hired two guys from craigslist that they had never worked with and the craiglist guys were hanging around our place since 4pm. Alex told me he was going to make room in the truck. As they were "making room" I realized they were being rough with the other customers items and broke something off of his grill. I requested to speak to Alex boss. Who ends up being Valdimar.
4) Initially, when I was talking to validamir and telling him what was happening he wasn't listening to me and Alex flat out lied to him in-front of me. I was so frustrated that I handed the phone to my husband THEN valdimar started to somewhat listen and respond to my husband.
5) My husband had to drive alex to home depot to buy bubble wrap. (Which was dropped on our tab at the end of it).
6) 11pm at night. We fed the guys a meal - so they can understand what it is like to be NICE. They had only packed the big items (nothing went into the truck because - GUESS WHAT there was no room).
7) Alex said, we will leave tonight since its late. We will go to storage first thing in the morning drop the other guys stuff then we will be at your house by 9:30 am. On Thursday - 2 days from my original pick-up date they show up at 2pm.
Here is a few highlights of conversations:
When I asked them to pack my wedding china carefully, the guy responses, "Its okay if it breaks, the company will pay you." WTF??? I nicely told him, if I wanted my stuff ruined or broken I wouldn't have hired a moving company.
The first night when they didn't have anything to pack our stuff with, one of regular guys asked, if he can use my towels to wrap my bathroom glassware with. Ummm...no!!! I paid $700 for packing.
They hired 2 guys off of craigs list (honestly they were the hardest working out of the guys from LV). I have in writing from Westcoast van lines that their guys are regulars and go through regular drug testing and training. The next day I heard the two guys talking to each other and one them talking about how "high" he got the night before. Then as he brings one of our king matteresses down he tore it right in the middle. The truck driver was supposed to take a note of it. Lets see what happens. PS: My ipad is missing. (I will post pictures of everything ruined. )
On Thursday, the craiglist guy put our stuff on the side of the street and out stuff sat there from 10am till 2pm.
After everything was packed-up like the way 5th graders would pack. The LV moving guys asked me to call their Manager Validimar and tell him that his guys work hard and are good guys.
We provided these guys meals and drinks -- so they could see the human aspect of what it means to move but I guess if their leaders and manager treat customers poorly what can you expect of the people on the ground?
Delivery was 3 days later than expected. We were supposed to receive papers to report the damages but it's been 3 weeks and not a word! They broke our dining room table, ripped our mattress our ipad is missing. They did not unpack (although they had told me they would.) And, we were charged $2000 extra than initial quote.
Save yourself the heartache and headache!
