What a horrible experience. I'm a television producer and travel more than I'd like. I went to this dealership because I'm interested in buying a new 2018 Corvette. I asked the salesman to briefly explain the different models to me and again I explained to him that I am running late and don't have a lot of time but I was hoping I could squeeze in a test drive and if I liked it I would be back. Pretty simple. I told him I would just want to go around the block like for a minute just to see what it feels like I wasn't going to go on an Excursion or anything because I didn't have the time anyway. Then this salesman comes out and tells me he's new and his manager insists that I have to come in after the test drive and sit with him. First off I'm happy to say that I can buy 10 of their cars if I wanted to. Luckily it's not a financial problem for me it's basically a time constriction and whether or not I want the car. I explained to him again that I really don't have the time but I do have the time to see whether or not I want the car by how it rides. Anyway apparently they don't want to sell cars here. They wouldn't invest 5 minutes with me and I would have come back and most likely bought the car. I mean what I say and say what I mean. I asked the guy, so you're telling me because I won't come in and sit and talk with the guy and put up with high pressure when it's unnecessary you won't let me take a test drive? And you said yes that's the way it has to be. Is this the way car buying is these days? That's why I used the internet the last 4 times I bought cars. I asked him if there was another Chevrolet dealership in the area and he just walked away rudely. Anyway it's been a very very long time since I felt so disrespected. I've since decided that I will buy the car so I'll buy it somewhere else, obviously, probably the internet and I'll make sure I drive it by personally to show the manager and general manager. On the upside I found out what this dealership is all about. In my opinion it's this type of thing that gives all car salesmen a bad name. I I hope the general manager reads this and kick some butt. If it was my dealership these people would be gone yesterday.
