  • tl;dr: food is okay, but they cut you off. service is beyond awful. BEYOND awful. i can't stress that enough. been here twice. the first time was a mediocre experience, but nothing bad enough to write about. the second time i went was an absolutely awful experience - so bad that we left after ordering our food and realizing that customer service as horrendous as the first ten minutes were for the whole night would be entirely unacceptable. first things first, i have to point out that i'm just a teenager. a baby-faced, 18-year-old teenager who often gets mistaken for 14, so i expect service to be less than stellar for the majority of places i go. however, this place set the bar at a new low. we (was with two friends - a group of 3) came into the place at 11:45 - maybe a bit late to expect good service, but i'll get around to that later. we were seated fairly quickly and handed menus. after a bit of deliberation, we signalled that we were ready order, once to get the server's attention, again to remind her that we were ready to order, and a third time to finally get her to break away from her EXTREMELY busy task of wiping down tables. all of this took about 10 minutes, mind you, and the place was almost empty - other than us, there was a single party of 2. so the server comes over, and asks us what we'd like to order, and while we confirm with each other really quickly that we'd like one of the combo meals, she turns to them, and seats them. this struck me as unusual, but i let it slide. but after she seated them, instead of letting the other server do it who was also unoccupied, she left our table to get them menus, barley tea, and drinks. and didn't come back to our table. at all. i had to flag down another waitress and tell her explicitly that we were ready to order. she took our order, and asked for our drink choices. i saw that they had tons of pitchers of barley tea sitting on a table near us, and asked for that. she had the audacity to tell me that they were out! the table next to us (that came in while we were ordering) were served a pitcher of barley tea WITHOUT even asking for it! at this point, i decided enough was enough. i cancelled our order and left. went to tofu hut. waited an hour, but the wait was way more worth it than the terrible nightmare that service was here. and the first time? we got ayce kbbq. the servers cut us off (a party of 6) after 10 dishes and 45 minutes there - at a time where they weren't even especially busy. the food is decent, but the service is beyond terrible. i wouldn't recommend this place. if you're in the plaza, go to pho so 1. i'm not especially fond of their pho, but the servers and food there is a lot better than at honey pig.
