| - So...a mixed review for Honey Salt, a place I've been looking forward to trying, especially as it made the Eater38 list. We went at 945p on a Friday and had no trouble getting a seat. Ordered Elizabeth's Caesar salad (very good), the red shrimp lettuce cups (excellent), brick oven chicken breast (pretty good, suffered due to my high expectations, mac and cheese side was good) but here's the ding. The flat iron steak ruined the meal. Ordered medium, 1/4 of the way into the steak it was obviously still rare in the middle, steak was sent back, they had it for over 10 minutes, and of course, after 10 minutes of waiting, who still wants to eat? They bring back the steak, freshly garnished, only to find it was still pretty rare, overly chewy, and just a horrible way to finish a meal. By this time, not interested in finishing, and my dog has a $31 steak to consume over the next few days. When the waiter came back, and saw it had barely been touched after its second appearance, that's when he should have stepped up and offered to scratch it from the bill. That would have been the appropriate remedy in my opinion.
