  • Sash and Bustle was my 4th Bridal shop. I found it very last minute!! I had an appointment at another big box bridal shop that's on TV with my MoH and BM. When I was preparing for this appointment the night before I realised I did not have a picture of the Anna Campbell dress I wanted to try on so I went to Anna C website and happened to click on dealers. There are only 2 shops in Canada that carry Anna Campbell and Sash and Bustle is one of them. I immediately called them and asked if they had the dress. They did. I asked if we could come the next day after our other appointment as were from out of town and she just happened to have one cancelation so I was in luck!! well boy do things happen for a reason!! I was meant to find this little wee shop!! Vanessa was the most genuine consultant and just a fantastic and fun human being!! Her shop is little and you will most likely be the only bride in there as they prefer to have just one appointment at a time. She was at my side with every dress I tried on, helping me get done up and pinned up to show the best of the gowns I tried. My girls and I were given free reign on picking dresses and she started pulling them for me. I asked for her choice and she suggested that we wait until last so we can go through our finds first and then she will choose a few that she thinks would suit me...but she didn't have to because the girls had picked all her choices. The gown selection is varied, unique, a mix of modern and vintage and not overwhelming huge. Not much room in the shop for huge collections but just the right amount and mix of styles to suit everyone. It was easy to browse through them and make our choices. Sash and Bustle has a great choice of designers that you would not find at regular, cookie cutter bridal shops. They carry Truvelle, a small Canadian designer from Vancouver, that has stunning gowns!! The Taylor is stunning!! The dresses and collections at Sash and Bustle are outside the box and the service is, bar none, the best I have experienced. I will not be shopping anywhere else. My dress is in that little wee shop on Carlaw and I can't wait to go back and try on a few more!!! It was really hard to come up with my favourites and it will be even harder to make the final pick!! but that's fine with me because that means I get to go back and once again enjoy the lovely and special experience that Vanessa has to offer. She is truly fabulous and I am very grateful that found Sash and Bustle. The most expensive dress is in the $4000 dollar range with all the ones I was choosing being in the $900-2000 range. With the exception of the Anna Campbell but no going to the big box TV shop and seeing only 6 or so dresses under $2000-2500 on the shop floor and all the rest way out of my price range. The prices here made me relax and I was able just enjoy the experience. The only negative I can come up with is that the dresses are the "sample size" of 10 or smaller. I find this to be a big city 'Toronto' trend because the other big box shop on T.O. was the same but the 2 other smaller town shops had all 12-14 sample sizes which was much appreciated!!! I am a 12-14 normally so those first 2 shops I visited were awesome for dress size experience but the big city left a lot be desired in that department. I guess they figure Toronto girls are all wee things?? But that's the only negative I can come up with!! most certainly a two thumbs up experience!! I can`t wait to go back when we have more time!!
