| - I floated today! This was my first time floating and it was such a relaxing experience. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They take the time to show you around the facility and explain the floating process to you. The facility is super clean. They provide you with two towels, ear plugs, wash cloth, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover towelette and petroleum jelly. There are 3 individual rooms that each have one pod and a shower in them. The water in the pods are about 94 degrees and full of Epsom salt. The pods also have a light in them and they play music. It was such a unique and great experience that I will be back. It's also a great alternative to a massage.
Here's how the process works. You take off all of your clothes and you take a shower to get dirt, oils, makeup, lotion, etc off of you. Then you get in the pod and lay back. You can close the lid or you can leave it open, it's up to you. The blue lights stays on amd the music plays for about 5 mins as your body adjusts to the floating and being in the pod. After 5 mins, the blue light goes out and the music stops and you float for an hr. The lights that are in the room go off as well and it's completely dark. After about 55 mins, the blue lights comes back on and the music as your t min warning. Once your time is up, you get out, shower, get dressed and leave.
They also have a salt room. I will try that out next time.
