| - When I first stepped foot on Pittsburgh ground to my new residence in Shadyside after a 1500 mile drive, I immediately applied for a rewards card after a sweet cashier told me that good deals happen with small little cards. We both snickered and giggled, but I did wait in the long customer service line (for those who understand why there is a line, no harm no foul). Sometimes, my experiences here are a bit scary as far as the patronage and dismal cashiers (side note, I use the self checkout as much as I can due to the short number of nice cashiers. Maybe because I am Caucasian? It's a predominantly African-American employed/perused establishment.) BUT I always smile, get out of the way, and say thank you, etc. I LOVE their longtime daytime security guard who always greets me back when I say hello- this morning I'll ask for his name and start greeting him with his name- very friendly and sociable and genuinely concerned about a friendly ambiance and safety.
Most importantly my Darling Listeners:
Check all dates on everything. Produce is left to the undesirable, protein is not bad (except they are always out of frozen salmon- haha). Don't shop here after 5pm weekends or especially on game day weekends, you're likely to get hated on for even moving or trying to wait patiently for a product where two customers are gossiping/arguing in front of and you don't want to interrupt. Also, park far away- I've had more dings, scratches and dents in this parking lot that I care for- good thing I walk now.
Okay, Gorgeous Humans-
Off to visit them now, wish me luck and just be patient and let those angry patrons/cashiers do what they need to do.
Be kind always, always, always.
