Loved the pork belly sammich! Was in Charlotte on biz. First time since 2012! It's changed. Lots more development. I saw on yelp the biscuits and bacon jam and I was staying around the corner so I added Asbury to my list of meal venues! Not disappointed. During the week the open at 11am so I had to wait a bit for a late brunch but it was delicious. I ordered the biscuits and the pork belly with an egg over easy. Wow. Yum city. I was the first person there and was alone until about 11:45. That's when the early lunch crowd started to trickle in. Service was fine and it's a pretty small place so I could see a longish wait on a weekend or Friday night. The restaurant is actually in a small boutique hotel so that adds to the ambiance. Called the Dunhill Hotel, it's got an old world English flair. But the restaurant is all southern hipster menu. Ps they guard the bacon jam recipe closely. ( I tried to pry it loose). No avail. The pork belly was so flavorful, moist and tasty and not fatty. Served on a roll with greens, cheese and sauce. Topped with the egg. I had fries that are house cut but they also have greens and other sides.
