| - I consider myself a foodie, not just because I like to eat food and visit hunger satisfying restaurants, but also because I like to watch food television shows. One television show on The Travel Channel is called Food Paradise, which featured the Best BBQ in America. Rollin Smoke Barbeque in Las Vegas was one of the top ten restaurants featured on Food Paradise and I can personally attest that it lived up to its billing. 4.5 stars all day.
Rollin Smoke is located in an industrial part of Las Vegas not too far from the Strip and with the Trump Hotel overlooking this barbeque star of a restaurant. There's really nothing else on the corner where Rollin Smoke sits except the restaurant itself. Even having a late lunch/early dinner around 3:30pm didn't mean we escaped the popularity of this restaurant. The parking is limited, so be prepared to park on the street or anywhere you can to get your mouth on this delicious BBQ. Due to its popularity, it's great that Rollin Smoke can accommodate a good sized crowd. It's a little confusing to figure where to start your order, but you'll have to stand in line, place your order, and then take your seat on the many picnic benched spread throughout three seating areas. Rollin Smoke is owned by a family from Arkansas, which was obvious with many homages to the Arkansas Razorbacks throughout the decor complete with a Razorback hog head. You can easily see that Rollin Smoke is award winning with trophies and framed positive reviews about the BBQ here.
I deducted half a star because it took some time for us to get our food, but it's also understandable because of the amount of people who flock to this BBQ mecca. I ordered the Trio Choice Smoking Plate, which comes with your choice of three meats, a side, and a slice of bread. I chose the brisket, 2 spare ribs, hot links, and a side of collard greens with brisket. Everything was finger licking good. Loved the spare ribs and hot links. They were cooked right, hearty, and the meat was scrumptious. I wanted more than the 2 ribs I got with my plate. Make sure to try all of the sauces they have to douse your meat. My fave two sauces were the spicy and House Arkansauce. Their collard greens with brisket were the best I've ever eaten. The greens were tender, juicy, and with the brisket, just pushed it over the top. Last, but not least, Rollin Smoke's sweet tea was really good.
You don't have to be a foodie or watch food television shows to appreciate the outstanding BBQ Rollin Smoke has to offer. If you love delicious food and want to leave a restaurant satisfied, then Rollin Smoke is a must eat, must visit location.
