I wasn't impressed. In fact, I wish we would've followed my instinct to just go back to N9NE.
We started out with Caesar salads. They were good.
I ordered the Chefs Special; an 8 oz filet and lobster with puréed potatoes. Not sure they know how to. cook a steak medium well vice medium. I asked for my filet to be cooked medium well. It came out medium. Our server then proceeded to take the steak off my plate so that they could cook it to medium well. When it came back out it was significantly charred on the outside, and still medium on the inside - unbelievable.
The lobster was delicious. It was served atop a garlic butter sauce. This was the perfect accompaniment. The puréed potatoes were too salty to eat.
My mate ordered the ribeye. From my understanding it was just "alright".
We also ordered the scalloped potatoes. They were good but very rich.
The manager comped my filet and offered to have something else made for me, but I politely declined.
We thought we'd pay our bill and then hit the strip, but suddenly a ginormous piece of red velvet cake and two mini cakes aside it came to our table. We were informed that the cake was made in house. We were doubtful of this as it was ice cold and appeared to be store bought. It was okay nevertheless.
Will I return? No. There are too many far better steakhouses in Las Vegas.
5 stars for the service. 2.5 stars for the food. My total rating for Vic & Anthony's is 3 stars.
