I've been putting off going here for awhile, but my hankering for Pinkberry got too strong today and I decided to test this place out. From the menu and toppings, this place looks pretty similar to Pinkberry, but it ended up being a way less satisfying experience. Let me tell you why...
The fro-yo tasted like frozen yogurt, like the stuff you buy at the grocery store or if you put your yogurt in the freezer. It didn't have that lovely tang that Pinkberry does so well.
The cups are not wide enough. They serve it like its a soft serve cone, so you really can't mix your toppings in or put them on top - they just kind of stick to the side. NOT as fun of experience.
The outside seating area is a little weird. I felt odd sitting in a little fake grass complex, so I moved next door to the tables outside of Umbra.
Sooo, although it wasn't terrible, my mind certainly wasn't blown and you won't find me craving this shit anytime soon.
Alright, gotta go figure out how to bring the Pinkberry franchise to Toronto. TTYN!
