Went to CPC last night for the first time. I really wanna like this place, but left with just kind of an "eh" feeling. It has a cool vibe in a gritty kind of way. Almost all the employees are pierced and tatted up. The juke box was continuously playing hard rock. The church pews are a very cool touch.
I like the location, decor, and ample patio seating. Staff seemed friendly enough, although my waitress never came to check on us after bringing our food - a major pet peeve of mine.
Now for the food. Hubby ordered the peppered steak pasty and it was delicious. I got the chicken greek and it was just ok. Needed a little something more, maybe feta cheese or more kalamata olives. It just didn't have a lot of flavor. Hubby was thrilled with the generous beer selection. I just had water with lemon. WARNING: the water tastes terrible! I had to add about 4 lemon wedges in order to make it even palatable.
I think we will try CPC again, just based on the reviews here on Yelp. I feel like maybe we went on an "off" night, or maybe I need to try a more traditional pasty. We'll see.
