| - I've been coming to Sun Nails since I was 11 years old when my mom use to treat me for mother daughter mani/pedi days, or special events. I am now 22 years old and have been to "high end" Nail Salons for service that includes more than just nails like makeup, eyebrow waxing and lash extensions. However, this location remains to be my #1, go to Nail Salon for reasonably priced, casual, good quality nails/ eyebrow waxing. Since then, they've changed management twice and the price has gone up a few dollars but that's probably due to the incline in customers over the years.
When I was younger I use to come here for natural nail manicures, they always provided me with great results by making my nails look clean, with a nice basic base polish, nail art design of choice and a glossy top coat finish. However, because I'm personally lazy and can't be bothered with the hassle and upkeep of maintaining natural nails; I've recently switched over to getting Gel and Shellac Polished nails.
I've been coming here to get Gel Nails with Shellac Polish, normal pedicure and eyebrow waxing regularly for about once or twice a month, as needed; and have been loving my nail results/experience every single time. I HIGHLY recommend calling in advance to book a Nail Appointment with the nail technician of your choice to avoid waiting 1 - 2 hours for service especially due to high clientele and busy hours. (I usually ask for Tina or Linda).
Tina and Linda are my favorite nail technicians, and booking your nail appointment helps in advance to give a heads up, avoid waiting, and that "rushed" feeling for both you and the nail technician. Tina or Linda have always provided me with great service, they're very clean/sanitary in their work, they're careful, take their time, are open to your opinion and feedback, pay attention to fine detail and make sure that your nails look clean, natural, "non-thick or lumpy".and that you leave satisfied with great quality results.
Overall the establishment is sanitary/clean, for the most part has a great atmosphere and friendly staff (majority of the time, on not incredibly busy days), and provides customers with beautiful nails. Tip: Even though they ask you whether you want your nails squared or rounded you can always ask them for any other shape or provide an Instagram photo or picture example of what you like. They DO NOT provide Matte coloured nails, but you can always buy your own drugstore brand Matte Topcoat (Essie Matte About You) and they can apply it for you or you can apply it yourself after at home.
