I did move into the property but when we paid our deposit we were told that many of the issues with the house will be fixed BEFORE we moved in. One thing was the condition of the electrical issues in the house. When the city "posted" the house we left. The property management people did not as much "let us out of our lease" as we told them we were leaving because they were in violation of Nevada Landlord Tenant Law. The owner terminated services with the management company and they sent our deposit to the landlord (who we NEVER had a lease with) and he has NEVER sent us our deposit back, which we are owed in full, because the house was "posted" as unsafe.
As for exaggerating the issues to Code Enforcement to the City of Henderson is a JOKE! Like they would have listened to me without coming to the property and checking out the situation themselves. Also Code Enforcement would NEVER have condemned the house without good cause not matter what I SAID to them!
As for vacating the premises we were trying to leave as quickly as possible but the management would not give us our deposit back so we could move. I have ALL the emails of correspondence with the company asking for the deposit. With over $1000 of our money tired up with them we had to wait 4 days after the house was posted to leave putting myself and my family in danger staying in an unsafe house. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (who they are NOT a member with). They tried to help resolve the issue to get us our deposit but they never responded in a timely manner and when they did (2 months after the deadline) it was with misrepresentation of the facts (which I have in email).
As for the rest I am not even going to try and address because I would be typing for an hour. I am over this situation but I will not all the property management company misrepresent what happened either.

This tenant moved into the property knowing it was in "as is" condition because the rent was so cheap. We did provide a list of repairs to the owner for approval and he was unwilling to spend the money. After the tenant's frustrations grew they exaggerated the situation to code enforcement who cited the owner's property for lack of permits for work done by the original owner. The owner was not willing to comply with the city's citation so we decided to let the tenant out of their lease and refund their deposit in full upon move-out. We terminated mgmt services with the owner but the tenant refused to vacate the premises. Finally we released the security deposit back to the owner to distribute because he signed a release form accepting any and all liability for the outcome.
