| - I like this place, I really do. But beware--this place is flooded with cheaters/crooks/hustlers who target other players, and I had 2 such experiences here on 2 separate trips. The dealers/security doesn't have their act together.
First instance: Playing $5 chips at roulette. Obvious drunk/loud player also betting red $5 chips. Usually, roulette dealers will color you up to avoid confusion, but this one did not. Suddenly, the drunk man removes some of my chips from the table and loudly proclaims them to be his. I had to call security and check the camera--the bets were proven to indeed be mine, but they lost. He got the keep the chips (my chips) he removed from the table!
Second and worst instance: Playing craps. A punk comes up to my left and begins placing lowball field bets. I place $30 on the field and had placed a few other numbers. Field hit, the bet is paid, and this punk swiped the payout. I said who, that's mine, and he starts yelling at me acting like I'm crazy. I attempt to alert the dealers to no avail. The boxman waves off my complaint and says "no you lost that bet" I had to convince him that the bet was PAID, and that it wasn't paid to ME! He refused to listen. I'm livid at this point, and go to get a manager. Am told the manager is on lunch. I waited for nearly an hour. Finally, the casino manager is awoken and speaks to me. He has security check the cameras. An hour after that, I am walked to a craps table and they pay me my money. The punk who swiped my chips was still on the casino floor and gambling the entire night and even the next day (probably doing this to others).
I go to casinos a lot, I've been gambling a long time, and I have a keen eye for things like this. But the casino staff should as well. The boxman at the craps table should be ashamed of himself. I want to keep coming back here but I want the management to take this issue seriously--the casino provides enough of a house edge that players don't need to worry about being swindled by other players!
