I really enjoyed the Ramen and the ambiance of this small Japanese Noodle shop. I love the open kitchen layout because it's fun to see the cooks at work making the food and creating the magic.
So let me back up. This little restaurant is located in a small strip mall off of Spring Mountain (Las Vegas' International District). Use Yelp Directions to help you find it. It's small, clean, and similar to a place you might visit in Tokoyo today (only it's missing the plastic food display at the front of the store). We walked in around 4'ish and the place was already packed. Luckily, we only had to wait a couple of minutes before a place opened up at the bar. A very nice server came over and took our orders down on her iPad (good modern touch).
The Shoyu Ramen (thick ramen, soy sauce & chicken broth w/ 2 slices of Pork) was only $6.95; Tonkatsu (thin ramen, pork bone stew w/ 2 slices of Pork and a side of spicy sauce was $7.95; side of Kimchi $1; and rice $1. Oolong tea served nice and hot in a can was only $1.75.
Any Cons, you may ask? Well the restaurant is really small and really crowded because of it's popularity & tasty Ramen. You have to eat fast or your Ramen will get cold. Also they want you out of there as quick as possible so they can make room for the poor customers waiting in line. Think of this as an Express Ramen Noodle shop. We enjoyed this experience and definitely plan to visit again soon.
