| - I used to really like going to GameStop, but that has changed! My husband went to buy a new controller and the guy at the counter told him about some coupons he could purchase toward a new controller. He bought them and when he went to check out, they could only be used for a pre-owned controller.
He bought the controller and the employee said, "you can bring it back within 30 days if there's an issue and you can get a new one."
Forward a few weeks and...imagine this...the controller started to not work.
I brought it back to this store and asked the guy if I could just purchase a new controller. He told me, "you are past the 7 day return and now you are in a defective stage and have to get a pre-owned one."
Ok, I did.
Got home and the adapter for the headset won't plug in...and has caused issues with our other controllers.
I brought it back the next day and again asked if I could just get a new one and to pay the difference....
Wrong question...holy attitude batman!!!
"It's no wonder this broke, the Xbox is a junk console as well as all the things for it." Ok, I see you are a Playstation guy...
"I'm going to get sick of you, so I'm just going to get you a new one." Alright, thanks....
As he was ringing up my purchase, "just to let you know, I'm going against my stores policy to appease you guys."
Well, Chris....thank you for doing your job, I guess. Isn't that what customer service is about?! Making the customer happy??
If I am still paying the full price of a new controller...AND you have another junk pre-owned one to pawn off to some other lucky customer...what's the difference?!
I will be going to Best Buy from now on. I get treated better and they give you more money for your trade-ins...
Worst place ever!
