Last years experience was so much better!
Today I had an appointment at 11:05am. I showed up at 10:52, this was only a check up so I could get my allergy meds refilled. I was called back right away and put in the doctors office by 11:03 which was awesome. I sat in the doctors room until the doctor finally showed up at 11:31. Doctor Jean was very sweet and apologetic but still, my time is just as valuable as anyone else's, including hers. Dr. Jean assessed me very quickly and sent in my refills and then sent me out to the waiting room to pay for my appointment. I was then told by one of the four ladies at the front desk that she would call me up when it's my turn as there are other patients ahead of me to pay their bills. Ok, so only one of the four ladies can take a payment? There was another patient standing at the desk that just didn't seem able to understand what he was being charged and why. I was told when I set up this appointment that it was a 15 minute appointment because it was just a follow up. My 15 minute appointment turned into an hour long appointment. After waiting to pay my bill for a few minutes I finally asked if they could just bill me as I left work, and took my lunch break to complete this 15 minute/hour long appointment. I'm still baffled as to why there were four women behind the desk and why only one of them could take a payment. I'm so tired of doctors offices not booking enough time for their appointments and for not realizing or treating their patients as if their time is valuable.
